A brief overview of the extraordinary achievements of H.H.Dorje Chang Buddha III

Among all Buddhas in the Dharma realm, Dorje Chang Buddha is the Primordial Buddha, the first Buddha with form, and the only Supreme Lord of Buddhism throughout the entire universe. Dorje Chang Buddha propagated Dharma throughout the universe, hence, all other Buddhas and Great Mahasattvas learned Dorje Chang Buddha’s Dharma and cultivation to attain holy state and liberation, and eventually became Buddhas and Great Bodhisattvas. Dorje Chang Buddha is the primordial ancestor of all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Samantabhadra, the Dharmakaya from which Dorje Chang Buddha perfectly manifested, is the Tathagata that has no form at all. The words and deeds of Dorje Chang Buddha are the compass and guiding principles of cultivation for all ordinary and holy beings in the universe.

To help Shakyamuni Buddha, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha II —Venerable Virmalakirti—applied His supreme wisdom and limitless supernormal power to edify Hinayana Arhats who then advanced themselves and eventually became Mahayana Bodhisattvas who helped living beings attain liberation. And, innumerable living beings attained liberationby learning the teachings of Venerable Virmalakirti.

After coming to the sahā world with the Buddha level enlightenment of the Primordial Sambhogakaya Buddha, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III established countless number one records in the world, every one of which was for the sake of benefiting living beings. At a very young age, He saved others without any regard to His own life and was honored with the title “Young Hero.” As He grew older, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III applied His inherent Healing Vidya to heal the sick, purely on a voluntary basis. More than 500 patients used to seek His help every day. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III never accepted one penny from them. Plaques and pennants with words of gratitude sent by the recovered piled up in the Buddha’s house.

As His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III continued to benefit living beings on a larger scale, the Central Newsreels and Documentary Studio of China produced a documentary, “One Who Is Dedicated to Advance Himself,” about His life and work. The film was shown nationwide.

In 1987, the highly respected young His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was named Chairman of the Chinese Painting Research Association of the National Commission of China for UNESCO. Honorary chairpersons of the Association included Liao Jingdan 廖井丹, Li Wenqing 李文清, Lü Ji 呂驥, Yuan Xiaoyuan 袁曉園, Wu Zhangshu 吳丈蜀, Qian Juntao 錢君匋, Xie Zhiliu 謝稚柳, and others. Advisors to the Association included Luo Zhanglong 羅章龍, Zhang Kejia 臧克家, and so forth.

In 1992, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was accorded the “Art Maestro of the East” title. In 1994, during the fourth conference of the World Poets and Culture Congress held in Hungary, 5,612 experts and scholars unanimously voted to confer the “Preeminent Distinguished International Master” title, which was a Head of State level honor, to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III.

The conferment certificate was signed by Juan Antonio Samaranch, the then President of the International Olympic Committee. In the same year, the Museum of Master Yi Yungao officially opened in Dayi 大邑, the hometown of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III in Sichuan. That was the first memorial museum in China, or even in the world, being built by a government for a living person.

In 1995, when His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III went from Mainland China to visit Taiwan for the first time, Taiwanese people spontaneously gave His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III an overwhelmingly ceremonious welcome. More than 20,000 people went to the airport to greet and pay respect to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. A motorcade of more than 1,700 cars followed the lead of police motorcycles to escort His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III from the airport to the hotel. That became the largest welcoming event in human history. Within the short three weeks that His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III stayed in Taiwan, General Chiang Wei-kuo 蔣緯國, former Secretary-General of the Taiwan National Security Council, and many other high level government officials formally requested to become disciples of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. They expressed that they wanted to truly emulate the noble morality, humanistic ethics, thoughts, and deeds of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III.

After His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III moved to the United States, His noble morality and unparalleled achievements won the love and admiration of the American people from all walks of life. In 2002, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was presented with the “Presidential Gold Medal” by the Commissioner to the President’s Advisory Commission on Asian Americans, on behalf of President Bush.

In 2003, the Organization of American States, composing of 34 countries including the United States, Canada, and Mexico,organized the Master Wan Ko Yee Yun Sculpture Exhibition in Washington D.C. at the Capitol of the United States.

The Master Wan Ko Yee Yun Sculpture Exhibition was also held at the Congressional Office Building. That was the first time the U.S. Congress held an art exhibition in their Congressional Office Building. Visitors expressed their praises in the guest book, exclaiming that the exhibition was “unprecedented,” and that the artworks were “treasures brought to the human realm by God.”

In 2004, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was named “Fellow” of the Royal Academy of Arts in the U.K.. Professor Phillip King, President of the Royal Academicians of the Royal Academy of Arts, presented the certificate to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III at the British Embassy in Washington D.C., capital of the United States. The Cultural Attaché of the British Embassy personally attended the ceremony. Professor Phillip King stated that His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was the first artist ever accorded this title in their renowned academy’s more than 200-year history.

The mayor of the U.S. capital Washington D.C.pronounced January 19, 2011 as “His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III Day” and called on people to salute to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III.

His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was also accorded the “King Legacy Award for International Service & Leadership” by An International Salute to The Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.. Dozens of great honors have also been presented to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III by U.S. senators, members of the House of Representatives, governors, and governments of all levels.

More remarkably exceptional, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III was awarded the 2010 World Peace Prize Top Honor Prize, presented to Him at the United States Congress on June 14, 2011 at the U.S. Capitol. On occasions of the holy birthday of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III, the U.S. Congress has held ceremonies to raise the national flag to celebrate, and President Trump and President Biden have sent personal congratulations.

In 2018, the World Peace Prize Awarding Council and the World Peace Prize Religious Leader Title Awarding Council resolved that His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was the Pope of Buddhism of this world and decided to present the Pope of Buddhism Scepter to Him. Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III, however, did not accept the Scepter, but returned it instead. In September 2020, the World Peace Prize Awarding Council and the World Peace Prize Religious Leader Title Awarding Council made a joint resolution that solemnly stated, “The title, status, and authority of the Pope of Buddhism belong only to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III and cannot be exercised by anyone else. This is a permanent and unalterable determination!” The two Councils also entrusted the World Buddhism Association Headquarters to present the Pope of Buddhism Scepter on their behalf to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III.

Upon coming to this world, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III immediately started teaching and saving living beings. He has always called Himself a “nameless cultivator.” His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III voluntarily served living beings and did not accept any offerings. One incident clearly shows how Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III taught and saved living beings selflessly. At the Heart Sutra Mandala on Xinhua West Road, Chengdu, Dharma Master Guozhang 果章法師 once recounted to some people that when he received initiation from His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III on Paoma Mountain 跑馬山, His Holiness the Buddha was only two and a half years old! After the identity of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III being the true incarnation of the Primordial Buddha was formally recognized by Dharma kings, regent Dharma kings, and great rinpoches of major Buddhist sects in written congratulations and corroboration letters, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III continued, as always, to teach and save living beings solely on a voluntary basis, and whole-heartedly devoted Himself to serving living beings. Whenever people made offerings to His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III, whether they were big or small offerings, in amounts as little as one dollar or as large as a few million US dollars, in the form of 37 acres of land in the city of San Francisco, or even a planeload or a shipload of gold, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III categorically refused to accept. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was whole-heartedly dedicated to serving living beings voluntarily.

In the many years that His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III was propagating Dharma to save living beings, He imparted more than 2,000 Dharma Discourses in response to living beings’ levels and karmic conditions. Not only did His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III reveal the truth about humanity and the universe, He also elucidated the truths relevant to various stages of practices, from elementary to profound accomplishment levels.

Those Dharma Discourses were audio-recorded, and some of which such as What Is Cultivation 什麽叫修行, Sutra on Understanding and Realizing Definitive Truth 了義經, Imparting the Absolute Truth Through the Heart Sutra 藉心經說真諦, and Learning from Buddha 學佛, have been published into books.

In restoring Buddhist texts to their original meaning, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III pointed out that the morning and evening chants used in Buddhist temples nowadays had been tampered with by the descendants of Mara, and those texts are filled with evil views and fallacies. Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III has corrected many errors made by patriarchs and translators in their interpretations of Dharma principles, and directly revealed the chaotic phenomena in Buddhism during this Dharma Ending Era. His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III pointed out the path that everyone who wants to attain liberation must take: That is to build our foundation on practicing cultivation. After cultivating ourselves well, we can then learn Dharma, and naturally attain liberation and accomplishment. The correct truths and Dharmas imparted by His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III enable listeners to develop their wisdom and good fortune, to help each other, care about each other, and be compassionate to all living beings.

In different countries, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III has performed great Dharmas including Holy Amrita Bestowed by Buddhas 佛降甘露, Xianliang Great Perfection 現量大圓滿, Holy Fire Offering 勝義火供, Vajra Faman Determination by Holy Selection 金剛法曼擇決, Hayagrīva Raja Water Mandala Bead Divination 馬頭明王水壇珠卦, Determination by Holy Selection on the Regression or Progression on the Bodhi Path 菩提道損減增益法, Guaranteed Delivery to Buddha Land Dharma 保送法, Vajra Array 金剛陣, and Eight Wind Array 八風陣, all of which manifested authentic holy states, enabling living beings to see with their own eyes that Buddha Dharmas are scientific, have veritable power, and absolutely are not just empty talk or theory. More importantly, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III has brought The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation to living beings in the sahā world, showing humanity the shortcut to attaining liberation. The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation is the highest Dharma that Dorje Chang Buddha transmitted to Amitabha Buddha as well as Buddhas and Great Bodhisattvas in the ten directions during their cultivation stage.

In The Supreme and Unsurpassable Mahamudra of Liberation, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III has made the biggest and highest vow in the entire Dharma realm, “I bear all the sinful karma for living beings, I give living beings all the good karma and merit that I have planted.” Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III has actualized the greatest and holiest vow, sacrificed His life to save the lives of numerous living beings, and returned to the Sambhogakaya Buddha Land!

The unprecedented records established by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III in this world:

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III was, historically, the first Buddha to have received the largest, unprecedented number of status-recognition and congratulatory letters by top level great Dharma kings and rinpoches.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III was recognized with the highest status in history: an Ancient Buddha.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III is the first Ancient Buddha who manifested perfect mastery in Exoteric and Esoteric Buddhism, and perfection of the Five Vidyas. No one else has been able to accomplish the same in the past few thousand years.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III manifested Buddha-level wisdom in the creation of Yun Sculpture, which nobody has been able to replicate. Historically, this is the first art form that cannot be replicated.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III is the first Ancient Buddha throughout history who only benefited others but did not accept any offerings.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III is, historically, the first Ancient Buddha who manifested the most holy miracles.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III is, historically, the only Buddha who could offer the kind of Buddha Dharma that enables disciples to attain liberation within two hours: Xianliang Great Perfection, the quickest path to successfully enter the Buddha Land.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III had the largest number of disciples who attained accomplishments; for example: Dharma King Daxila of the Tsalpa Kagyu Sect attained the rainbow body; respected layperson Wang Lingze 王靈澤 and Dharma King Gar Tongstan attained freedom from death and rebirth and passed away in a sitting meditative pose; Dharma Master Puguan 普觀法師 and Elder Monk Wuming 悟明長老 attained incorruptible flesh bodies; the Elder Monk Yizhao 意昭老和尚 vowed to return to the sahā world to save living beings; and many others.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III has transmitted Dharma to disciples and invoked Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva to come at a specific time to take the disciple to the Buddha Land; even non-Buddhists saw with their own eyes when the disciple Zhao Yusheng 趙玉勝 was taken away by Avalokiteshvara Bodhisattva. Some disciples, such as Hou Yushan 侯欲善 and Lin Liu Hui-Hsiu 林劉惠秀, were able to visit the World of Ultimate Bliss, then return to the human world before ascending at a specific time to the Buddha Land. The above listed are just a few examples of the numerous Buddhist disciples who followed Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III and attained liberation.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III possessed Buddha-level physical constitution and physical strength that are unmatched in the world. Just about a little more than a month ago, on December 23, 2021, at the Holy Miracles Temple, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III lifted the Supreme Holy Vajra Pestle that weighs 437.2 pounds, by using just four fingers to hook on to the Pestle, lifted it up, and held it for more than 13 seconds, surpassing His own base weight standard by 72 levels. Taizun Poshan Waxiang 破山瓦象太尊 asserted: “In this world, from the ancient past up to now, and even before Maitreya Bodhisattva attain Buddhahood, no ordinary or holy being will be able to lift the Buddha Pestle that Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III lifted, surpassing His own base weigh standard by 72 levels!”

The morality of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III is so noble, His accomplishments so great, and the holy miracles He performed so numerous that it is impossible for us to list them all. What was listed above was just a drop in the ocean. If we were to tell you about all the magnificent feats of His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III, it would take more than ten days and ten nights. The magnificent greatness of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III is not limited to His well-respected humanistic ethics, His noble personality and morality, His erudition, His distinguished accomplishments, His selfless compassion toward humanity and all living beings, and His passion in teaching and actualizing the practice of Buddha Dharma.Through altruistic endeavors, His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III truthfully, sincerely, and persistently actualized the principle of compassion, and He diligently worked toward the development of world peace. Many people are moved and motivated by His Holiness Dorje Chang Buddha III. Many people in this world aspire to Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III as their model, referencing His state of morality as their standard, and using His teachings as guidance to elevate their own morality and to benefit living beings. In doing so, not only have they fulfilled happiness in their lives, but many of them have ascended to the Buddha Land, attained freedom from death and rebirth, or attained even higher states of realization and accomplishments.

More importantly, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III pointed out a bright path for humanity to stay far away from violence, a path that leads to benevolence and loving kindness, successful endeavors, happy families, peace in humanity, and prosperity in societies. Throughout different countries and regions in the world, more and more people of different ethnicities and cultures are actively learning and following the teachings of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III to cultivate themselves and benefit living beings. Consequently, they have greatly elevated the level of morality in society, advanced human civilization, motivating more and more people in this world to become good, kind, and ethical people, and enabling the world to become an auspicious and green planet. These are the tremendous and inexhaustible contributions that Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III has brought to all human and other sentient beings in this world, so they may increase their happiness.

有一種牽掛是生生世世的承諾與愛

我從小就在眾兄長的牽掛中長大,上學、成家……

曾經,我很享受這種牽掛,從中感受到兄長們無私的愛。

直到我的人生步入半百「知天命」時,直到我學佛後,突然發現,被人牽掛是享福,而牽掛人是在給自己培福。而除了兄妹情緣外,更有一種牽掛,那是來自久遠,是生生世世的承諾與愛,它叫「慈悲喜舍」。

我叫六妮,有五個哥哥,自然就有五個嫂子,父母都去遙遠的西方「打工」了,留下我們六兄妹在人間相依為命。

在過去幾十年裏,一直都是哥哥嫂嫂們關心我,牽掛我,經常打電話問候我。

二哥打電話次數最多,有一次是夜裏十點半打電話來,說「小妮子,要照顧好自己,不要管太多的閒事,現在不像我們小時候有父母在身邊那樣了,我們都成家立業了,都很忙,我們又離得遠不能幫你什麼,嗚嗚嗚(哭了)……」 我靜靜地聽著,也流著淚。

其次是大哥經常打電話:基本上都是差不多的語言「妹妹,我今天去你家,給你送好吃的,哥自己又做了辣椒醬,可好吃了……」而大哥每次到我家,我家飯桌上也必然會有他最喜歡吃的「燒茄子加粉絲」這道菜。

三哥只要一打電話就是一句話:「妹妹,你三嫂給你挖的野菜來拿吧」或者「我今天有空,去你家看看外甥」。

四哥哥從來沒打過電話,有時候夢裏會夢到他,他都是笑眯眯地說:「你放心吧,我經常陪著父親。」

五哥哥的關心和掛念最特別,他只要打電話就說:「到省城來吧,我帶你到處走走玩玩,我給你洗麵筋湯喝……」因為,我們小的時候最喜歡的就是母親洗的麵筋湯,一個人都能喝三碗,可好喝了!

許多年來我已經習慣了他們的關心和牽掛,似乎成了理所當然。我倒是很少主動跟哥哥們打電話問候,每年兩個節一定會帶著孩子去幾個哥哥家看看,送些節禮,僅此而已。

時光就是這麼飛逝,不知不覺間,我從原來的「小妮子」成了「大妮子」,到「老妮子」,從為人妻,到為人母,到現在的「為人奶奶」時我皈依了佛門。我經常恭聞南無本初報身佛的法音,恭讀佛經,漸漸明白了點人生與宇宙的關係。學佛給我帶來了莫大的受益。我頓然明白,被人牽掛真是一種福氣,而更有福氣的是有時間有精力有能力去牽掛別人。

於是,一直以來「沒心沒肺」的我開始有了牽掛。

我牽掛每一個親人,想方設法多接觸他們。我不再只是過節才去看望,平時節假日、周末也會走動走動。我不僅是要回報這幾十年來兄嫂們對我的愛,更是時刻想著能把親人引進佛門,因為對親人最大的報恩就是讓親人能有機會聞聽到佛陀親說法音而學佛修行,最後與我共證菩提聖果。

我送佛像供在他們家裏,送念佛機放在他們家的條几上。我知道哥哥們雖然有的是黨員,有的是軍人,但他們不會直接拒絕我。我攻不下哥哥們的「堡壘」,我就攻嫂子們的「營房」,費了九牛二虎之力,終於因緣成熟,我的兩個嫂子,一個侄媳婦,一個侄孫相繼皈依,開始學佛

隨著聞法的深入,明白的事理越來越多。我知道了今生相遇、相識、相知之人都是往昔久遠劫以來的親人,我的牽掛範圍大了、人群多了,因為我是佛弟子了。我不能只局限在父母兄弟姐妹、子孫後代,我要大愛,我要傳播如來正法於各地,接引每一個有緣人來佛堂聞法,讓他們漸漸自願地走進學佛修行之大門,了悟人生,福慧增長,離苦得樂。

我終於明白了這種牽掛其實是我與他們之間的法緣,甚至是多生累劫以來的承諾和約定。這是一種生生世世的愛。

從此,我無論在哪裏只要遇上有緣人,我一定盡全力幫他們走進正法,學佛修行。我真真切切地感受到了眾生都是往昔的親人,無論他們殘缺病康,還是富貴與貧窮。

記得2015年10月的一天,我們照常共修,某師姐帶來一位病人,她全身浮腫,臉色慘白,嘴唇沒有一點血色,頭髮都掉完了,不能坐久,只能跪一小會,站一小會。看著她,我的心在流淚在絞痛,口中卻說「你沒事,你一定會好的!」她苦笑了一笑。從那以後,只要她不住院,我就鼓勵她來我們佛堂聞法,跟著我們去小南湖放生。只要有時間就去看她,陪她談心、給她鼓勵,讓她一定要相信佛法明信因果……我還發起大家為她捐錢輸血治病,帶領同學為她放生、祈福、功課回向……祈請佛菩薩加持她。 2016年7月份,她皈依了三寶,拜兩位大德為師。皈依後她法喜充滿,比常人還精進。現在經過複查,她的各項指標都和正常人一樣了!她說,是南無本初報身佛給了她第二次生命,她無限感恩南無本初報身佛!感恩兩位大德師父!

淳樸的情,至誠的愛,我的心更大了,牽掛更多了,因為這種牽掛是我多生累劫以來乃至今後生生世世對如母如父如兄如嫂的眾生的承諾和愛——佛法的慈悲喜捨。

Homage to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. I am deeply grateful to have encountered the authentic teachings of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, which gave me the inspiration and strength to apply the Buddha Dharma in my daily life.

In the first week of October, I noticed a small growth inside my left nostril. It looked like a pink skin tag, about one-eighth of an inch long. However, about two weeks later, I realized the growth had enlarged and was now visibly hanging out of my nostril. Not only was it unattractive, but I also had no idea what it was. Given that cancer runs in my family, I began to worry that it might be a malignant tumor. Unfortunately, since I didn’t have health insurance, I started looking for a low-cost clinic where I could get it checked. Despite my efforts, I had little luck finding a clinic or doctor who was both affordable and trustworthy.

I talked to Ningbu Rinpoche about my dilemma. During our conversation, she mentioned the meditation class from the previous Sunday, which I unfortunately missed because I was working overtime. She told me about the story that Dharma Master Ruo Hui related in class about a man chanting the six syllable heart mantra, which had a powerful effect on me. Here is a summation of the story Dharma Master Ruo Hui told.

Reciting the sixth syllable heart mantra brings great merit. You don’t have to be a Buddhist to receive the empowerment of Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva. Many people chant it and gain good results from it. Today I will tell you about a story of an ordinary man. This man was working with a friend who was a Buddhist. His friend told him about the sixth syllable heart mantra and how beneficial it is to chant. He began reciting it 1000 times a day. He experienced tranquility and a great joy in his heart. Since he liked doing it so much he began to increase chanting the mantra ten thousand times a day.

One day he was invited to a diligent practice event. When he went to the retreat he increased chanting the six syllable mantra to thirty thousand times a day. Several days after the retreat began he saw Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva appear before him. Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva’s appearance was very solemn and she was imposingly large and tall. Since he saw Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva appear before him, he decided to increase his chanting to sixty thousand times a day.

After half a month Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva appeared before him again. This time she took him to the Western Paradise where he saw his own white lotus flower that was the size of a car wheel. The white lotus flower looked very beautiful and pure. It dawned on him that reciting Namo Amithaba Buddha’s name, or the six syllable heart mantra, will help one be reborn in the Western Paradise. Seeing the Western Paradise state strengthened his faith and he now began to recite the six syllable heart mantra seventy thousand times a day. After a period of time he had another visitation of Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva. She again took him to see his lotus flower. Now he can see the center of the flower. Right in the middle of it is a seat he can sit upon. After this experience he chants even more diligently.

As the retreat is about to conclude he now sees Namo Amithaba Buddha appear before him. The Buddha was as tall as a skyscraper and emitted a bright golden light. Namo Amithaba Buddha was very solemn as he descended from the sky and stood on his lotus flower to speak dharma. The man looked up at the sky and saw Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva and Namo Mahashamaprapta Bodhisattva standing together. Their image is identical to a picture he had seen depicting them. They were both several dozen floors tall.

Namo Amithaba Buddha began to speak to him. He told him that he would be born in the Western Paradise in the future. “Now I will transmit you a high dharma. You must focus on this practice. This will guarantee your rebirth in the Western Paradise. When it is time in the future I will personally come to retrieve you.” The Buddha told him to write down all his experiences to help strengthen Buddhist cultivator’s faith and encourage them to practice better. He wrote down his story and that is why we can listen to it today.

 A Miraculous Healing Through Dharma Practice

After I heard the story, it motivated me to sit down to do some serious chanting that night. Before I went to bed I chanted the six syllable heart mantra over seven hundred times. I went to sleep and woke up at around 1:30 AM. I couldn’t get back to sleep so I decided to do meditation for about 45 minutes, which helped increase my energy. Then, ironically, my body was too energized to get back to sleep, so I decided to take a walk in the neighborhood. This was at around 2 AM in the morning. When I got back I decided to chant the one hundred syllable bright mantra.

When I chanted this about one hundred and sixty times I felt something wet around my nose. I dabbed my nose with a tissue and saw blood. Thankfully, the bleeding stopped shortly. Curious and concerned, I went into the bathroom to check on it. When I looked at the reflection of my left nostril in the mirror, I discovered that the growth had disappeared. At the place where the growth had been now had fresh healthy looking skin covering the area. I was overjoyed and couldn’t wait to report this to Master. To me, this is concrete proof that the dharma is real and beneficial for our life. It has motivated me to put more energy into my practice and when I get spare time I utilize the time to chant.

My most sincere and grateful thoughts to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, Namo Guan Yin Bodhisattva, and all Buddhas and Bodhisattvas!

Often I hear people say to me, “You really should not be so naive and kind. No wonder others keep bullying and taking advantage of you!”

This became my thinking too in the past. That was why I had distorted understanding on many things. I always thought, “He bullied me so much. This is definitely because I am too honest and too kind in behaving as a person…” Thus, I tried to force myself to become strong and intrepid. Eventually I even became vexatious! However, is this really what I should do?

Under a certain karmic opportunity, I met a person who became a fine friend of mine. He often spoke to me some principles and reasoning of Buddhism. Later he led me to the Buddha hall he goes to. There, I had the opportunity to listen to the recorded dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III. Through listening to the recorded dharma discourses, I became much happier, more open- and broad-minded, and mentally freer and at ease! I also realized that learning Buddhism goes far beyond occasionally practicing the dharma, burning incense to honor the Buddha, or attending dharma assemblies just for the ceremony. We also need to cultivate ourselves. Cultivation can enable us to transform causality!

 I am happier after encountering the  dharma of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III

Earlier, I shared how I used to force myself to act strong and fearless just so others wouldn’t hurt me. However, is it necessary to do so? Is the harm from others really due to our being kind?

After listening to the recorded dharma discourses expounded by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III, I learned that everything and all phenomena arise from causality, including of course the good and adversary karmic conditions between people. When we respond to bullying or unfair treatment with resentment, hatred, or harmful actions, we’re planting new seeds of evil—and we’ll inevitably face the painful consequences. Then, wouldn’t the vicious process continue forever without an end?! Also, since the situation could be due to the harm I did to the others in a past life time or at a certain time in the past, can forcing myself to be unkind make the evil causes I planted in the past disappear?! The answer is definitely no because the law of causality never errs.

With the above learning and understanding, when subjected to insult, bullying, or unfair treatment, I now know to beseech Buddhas and Bodhisattvas to bless this person with happiness, joy, and absence of afflictions! I can act even better toward this person and avoid hostile confrontations. Gradually, doing so has become my habit. I no longer need to pretend to be strong. I feel freer and more at ease in life and, of course, I am happier than before.

略說佛陀的三十二大丈夫相和羌佛然何於相

略說佛陀的三十二大丈夫相和羌佛然何於相

我身為比丘尼,本不該論之你等是非,我出家的目的,是為了徹底從於佛教,依止佛陀教法,得到成就而了生脫死。我為求正法,捨棄了我的世間一切,赴美求見南無 第三世多杰羌佛 。經過重重考驗,我才正式成為南無羌佛的弟子。這些年,不用說,我見到了真正古佛在世的本質。出家人雖然遠離紅塵是非,但維護佛教正法、保護眾生慧命是修行人最基本的行持,所以該說的心裡話必須說,緣於必須以利益眾生為務。

陳寶生這一眾生,犯下了闡提重罪,大家都已經知道了,但為什麼還有少之又少的一小撮人跟著他呢?很多人都在說要趕快讓這些人醒悟回頭,我要說的是不太可能,因為這是本質上的問題。就類似於白骨精,就算把白骨精擒拿了,牠的小妖幫兇同樣還是妖孽的本質,不會改變的,這直接牽涉到善惡體性和利益的關係。

我是陳寶生考試時十七位百題閱卷師之一,陳寶生的佛教知識水準和素質,包括他的百題經律論試卷,我作為他的閱卷師,不得不說,他的經教基礎、三藏水準確實差得一塌糊塗,是一個佛教、佛學、佛法的外行。他的那批所謂陳寶生教派的弟子,也就是破壞佛法的那一小撮人,一開始就犯下了根本罪,欺師滅祖,毀滅諸佛之師普賢王如來、多杰羌佛、十大金剛法像,這已經是洗不清的闡提罪,而緊接著,毀法音、滅佛書、直接對抗 釋迦牟尼佛 經藏。

《金光明最勝王經》說:「……世間伎術五明之法。皆悉通達。善男子。是名菩薩摩訶薩成就智慧波羅密。」《菩薩地》也說:「一內明,二因明,三醫方明,四聲明,五工巧明,當知即是菩薩慧之本性。」然而陳寶生及其邪教派弟子,根本不依 釋迦牟尼佛 鐵定在經書中的說法,自說一套,這就鐵證說明了他們已經是明擺著的對抗釋迦佛陀的邪教,且邪教的基礎築得一天比一天陰沉,一天比一天黑暗。最近尤為明朗化,直接公開反對 釋迦牟尼佛 的教法。釋迦世尊在很多法義中清楚表明了佛陀具有法報化三身,法身等虛空,廣遍法界無邊;報身具三十二大丈夫相,八十種隨行莊嚴,六十四圓音等,身居報身佛土;化身無量,即無具體數量之意,應眾生之法緣而化顯,非為法身相,非為報身,正如《觀世音菩薩普門品》中釋迦牟尼佛讚歎觀世音菩薩(古佛正法明如來):「善男子!若有國土眾生應以佛身得度者,觀世音菩薩即現佛身而為說法;應以辟支佛身得度者,即現辟支佛身而為說法;應以聲聞身得度者,即現聲聞身而為說法;……應以婆羅門身得度者,即現婆羅門身而為說法;應以比丘、比丘尼、優婆塞、優婆夷身得度者,即現比丘、比丘尼、優婆塞、優婆夷身而為說法;應以長者、居士、宰官、婆羅門婦女身得度者,即現婦女身而為說法;應以童男、童女身得度者,即現童男、童女身而為說法,應以天、龍、夜叉、乾闥婆、阿修羅、迦樓羅、緊那羅、摩睺羅伽、人非人等身得度者,即皆現之而為說法;應以執金剛神得度者,即現執金剛神而為說法。」

佛陀的化身相與報身相完全是兩回事。《合部金光明經》卷一三身品曰:「一切如來有三種身。菩薩摩訶薩皆應當知。何者為三。一者化身。二者應身。三者法身。」該經又說:「如來相應如如如如智願力故。是身得現具足三十二相八十種好項背圓光。是名應身。」應身又名報身。報身佛位居報身佛土世界,例如 釋迦牟尼佛 的報身居於華藏世界,此佛土世界中有諸多菩薩,他們是報身佛所教化的對象。《宗鏡錄》卷八十九載:「自性身、受用身、變化身稱為三佛身,此即法、報、化三身:1.自性身,諸佛如來具無邊際真常功德,是一切法平等實性,即此自性,又稱法身。2.受用身,又分二種:(a)自受用身,諸如來修習無量福慧,起無邊真實功德,恒自受用廣大法樂。(b)他受用身,諸如來由平等智示現微妙淨功德身,居純淨土,為住十地菩薩眾顯現大神通,轉正法輪。3.變化身,諸如來以不思議神力,變現無量,隨類化身,居淨穢土,為未登地諸菩薩眾及二乘等,稱其機宜,現通說法。」

看明白了嗎?報身三十二相,是佛陀的受用身,「居純淨土」,唯報身佛土方可呈顯,唯十地以上菩薩方可得見。凡夫世界所能見到的佛陀,只能是化身,化身才是「居凈穢土」。可是,陳寶生及其邪教弟子,明知經書中佛陀已經規明,卻非要把化身與報身(應身)混為一談,來矇騙不明法理的人,行其妖言惑眾、破壞佛法,說南無 第三世多杰羌佛  沒有三十二大丈夫相。這樣的說法不僅自爆極度的愚癡無知,更是徹底違背了 釋迦牟尼佛 的教法。其實,不要認為牠們是藉此有意侮辱羌佛,他們的目的不全在此,他們的真實目的,是故意對抗佛教,誹謗南無釋迦牟尼佛,與佛經全相徑庭,背道而馳。

大家要明白,這個世界,是五濁惡世,是娑婆世界,不是報身佛土。報身佛土是唯一呈顯佛陀報身三十二相的地方。 釋迦牟尼佛 在此娑婆世界,也沒有三十二大丈夫相,比如三十二相之金色身相,那是怎樣的金色身相呢?《大智度論》中說:「問曰:“何等金色?” 答曰:“若鐵在金邊則不現。今現在金比佛在時金則不現。佛在時金比閻浮那金則不現。閻浮那金比大海中轉輪聖王道中金沙則不現。金沙比金山則不現。金山比須彌山則不現。須彌山金比三十三諸天瓔珞金則不現。三十三諸天瓔珞金比焰摩天金則不現。焰摩天金比兜率陀天金則不現。兜率陀天金比化自在天金則不現。化自在天金比他化自在天金則不現。他化自在天金比菩薩身色則不現。如是色是名金色相。” 」這樣的上妙金色,世間詞彙根本無法形容,這哪裡是凡夫世界所能見到的呢?又哪裡是謗佛誹經的黑業之人有資格見到的呢?三藏十二部哪一部經論裡面有記載 釋迦佛陀 在此世界日常所顯的,是這種連他化自在天的金色都相形見絀的金色身呢?而事實是, 釋迦牟尼佛 住世時,日常所顯的是悉達多太子降生到這個世界一直慣有的相應人類眾生的色身相。

再比如三十二相之廣長舌相,於報身佛土,其舌伸向無窮際世界,應菩薩法緣而為說法。記住,報身之相是應於菩薩法緣而現,非汝等之流。如果 釋迦牟尼佛 於此娑婆世界便具廣長舌相,那就不必行走於印度各地攝化眾生,更不必有後來攝摩騰、築法蘭跋山涉水到中華大地傳法的辛勞,因為佛陀只需施展廣長舌相,不需移動身體即可說法度化各地眾生了。

凡夫眾生是見不到佛陀報身三十二相的,為什麼?業力、因緣所致。《大智度論》中說:「佛外因緣具足,有三十二相、八十隨形好,無量光明莊嚴其身,種種神力,種種音聲,隨意說法,斷一切疑。但眾生內因緣不具足,先不種見佛善根而不信敬,不精進持戒,鈍根深厚,著於世樂。以是故,無有利益,非為佛咎。佛化度眾生,神器利用,悉皆備足。譬如日出,有目則覩,盲者不見;設使有目而無日者,則無所覩,是故日無咎也。佛明亦如是。」意思就是佛陀具足三十二大丈夫相,八十種隨行莊嚴,無量的光明和莊嚴,有種種神力、妙音,說法隨意自在,能斷一切疑惑,佛陀渡生的外因緣是具足的,但是,眾生的內因緣不具足,因不恭敬、不淨信佛法而沒有種下見佛的善根,不精進持戒,貪著世間享樂,而導致鈍根深厚,不能見到佛陀的種種莊嚴,不能得到種種佛法利益,這不是佛陀的問題。佛陀渡化眾生,具足一切聖量和法門,譬如太陽光,明眼人能見到,盲人則見不到,明眼人遇上雲層遮住太陽也見不到,這都不是太陽的問題,佛陀的光明也是同樣的道理。眾生見不到佛陀的三十二相,不是佛陀的問題,是眾生的業力和因緣所致。

但在佛經中,的確有記載普通眾生見到了佛陀的報身莊嚴,這就如同黃輝邦居士見到了佛陀報身相,如同趙玉勝居士見到了阿彌陀佛的報身相,如同隆慧法師所見到的佛陀報身境相,如同候欲善居士圓寂前到極樂世界所見阿彌陀佛圓滿聖相,如林劉慧秀居士所見佛陀報身相,那是特殊的因緣及致誠之三業成熟,和合緣起造成的福報。如果因這個別特殊的因緣而得出佛陀在五濁惡世即現報身三十二相的結論,就實在是毫無邏輯常識、愚笨無知到極點了。

在後人的佛學文論中,有的因為無知把報身三十二相與化身混淆,有的是出於贊佛功德而將佛陀化身美化為三十二相,但都不能代表佛經正理。 釋迦佛陀 在世就沒有顯現報身相,即便有萬分之一的機會展顯,也非無緣者所能得見。

佛陀的受用自在,不是凡夫意識所能揣度的,連神仙的受用,凡夫尚且只是偶有聽說,更何況與宇宙同體的佛陀的報身受用,凡夫斷斷沒有資格指手畫腳。比如佛陀之八大自在身,僅就一塵身滿大千界這一條,大千界包括了三界六道及三界六道之外的多少個世界?娑婆世界的凡夫如何得知?如何揣度?如何看得到?你身處一個凡夫小世界,如何能斷定佛陀有沒有在哪個世界渡什麼眾生?觀世音菩薩現人非人等相去渡眾生時,凡夫如何得知?南無 多杰羌佛 (南無 第三世多杰羌佛 )的化身或許此刻正應人非人等說法,你如何有此慧眼、有此法緣、有此善根能知道?

佛法的道理何其深奧,憑你們黑業充滿的邪教害生頭腦,是學不懂佛經的。比如,佛陀的報身與化身,在眾生位,是二非一,在佛陀自受用位,是一非二。如《合部金光明經》所說:「化身亦應身,住有餘涅槃如來之身」,此乃佛陀全資大用的境界,報化一體無二,當下即是淨土的境界,也正是趙玉勝居士所見西方極樂世界與當下凡眼所見世界共存共在、互不相礙的境界,這樣的殊勝境界,若非特殊法緣,凡夫莫說親見,連想象都困難,又哪裡是你們幾個謗佛毀法、黑業纏身的闡提罪子能見到的呢?這樣的理和體,你們不能了知,因為你們沒有智慧,但無知不可恥,無知假裝有知,就非常可恥,不懂裝懂是人品中最下等的。比如你們荒唐地提出什麼五明跟佛陀八大自在身哪個厲害?以為這樣就能為陳寶生拿不出五明找到一條出路,以為這樣就能誹謗南無 第三世多杰羌佛 ,實在是無知愚癡得無以言狀。五明與佛陀八大自在與三十二相八十種好等等,都是佛陀本自具有的,都是構成佛陀覺量的部分。然而,佛陀的八大自在受用、三十二相報身莊嚴等,對於凡夫而言,是無從得見而了知的,如經所述,三十二相須十地以上菩薩才能得見。也正因為如此,佛經中釋迦佛陀才一再強調五明之重要,因為五明是菩薩慧的本性,又只有五明智慧的顯現是凡夫眾生所能了、能知、能見、能唯一掌握的鑒別聖凡的最強利器。這也就是為什麼藏傳佛教中,五明是最為重要的修習內容之一。這也就是為什麼我這個慚愧比丘尼和其他眾多修行人,發正信心依止南無 第三世多杰羌佛 的原因,因為我們遵奉 釋迦牟尼佛 的教法,依五明成就鑒別聖凡,我們從南無 第三世多杰羌佛 的登峰造極的五明成就中,看到了真正的佛陀覺量,祂的無可非議的圓滿五明就是我們按照世尊說經擇決依止以達了生脫死的標桿。

陳寶生及其邪教派弟子們,斷章取義亂用經書,不僅不能代表你們是佛教徒,反而自爆外道愚癡之相,更是造罪侮辱佛經。你們若想真正學得佛經中的正理,須如《原則的奉告》中所述,先正心誠意,發大懺悔心,發純淨心,遠離闡提惡業,諸惡莫作眾善奉行,方可筑下求得正解之基。當然,你們如果想從經書中找出為陳寶生的罪孽解套的依據,是不可能的,因為佛經不可能站在闡提罪人的一邊。你們要想從經書中找出誹謗南無 第三世多杰羌佛  的依據,也是不可能的,因為南無 第三世多杰羌佛  與十方諸佛一體無二,理體相融,都是同一個真諦,行持上都是諸惡莫作、眾善奉行,利益渡化眾生。

During this Dharma-Ending Age, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III descended to the human realm, demonstrating perfect mastery of both Exoteric and Esoteric Buddhism, as well as unsurpassed accomplishment in the Five Vidyas—the disciplines through which Buddhas and Bodhisattvas benefit sentient beings.

Over the past 2,000 years, the teachings of the Buddha have been distorted through mistranslation and misinterpretation by patriarchs, eminent monastics, and scholars. Recognizing these errors, H.H. “Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III Complete Sutra Collection“ primarily consists of the transcriptions of the Dharma discourses by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha, and also includes all of the Buddha’s sutras, poems, writings, and other works. Given the urgent needs of those studying the teachings and the vast quantity and length of the Buddha’s discourses, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III Complete Sutra Collection is being published in volumes over time (up to now, six volumes have been published).

Volume I: Dharma Expounded During a Trip to the East

On November 13, 2008, the United States Congress held an art exhibition for the Buddha Mother (Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang) inside the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. To ensure the safe transportation of the artworks, it was decided to rent a recreational vehicle (RV), forming a convoy with the truck carrying the artworks. Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III, the Buddha Mother, and accompanying disciples all traveled and lived in the RV during the journey.

The convoy led by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III departed from Los Angeles on October 25, 2008, and arrived in Washington, D.C. on November 10. Following the successful completion of the Buddha Mother Professor Yuhua Shouzhi Wang’s art exhibition at the Capitol on November 13, the group returned on November 26. The journey lasted 33 days, traversing more than 20 states from the western to the eastern United States. Except for the time spent in D.C., where they were occupied with preparing the exhibition, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III gave Dharma discourses to His disciples almost every evening during the trip. These teachings were compiled into the Dharma Expounded During a Trip to the East, totaling 19 volumes.

Throughout the journey, many holy manifestations occurred wherever Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III went, some of which were mentioned by the Buddha during the teachings. On the day before the journey concluded, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III even performed a Dharma rite to eliminate obstacles for His disciples. Moreover, after returning to Los Angeles, at the Buddha’s Vajra Mandala in Pasadena, holy nectar descended from the Buddha, confirming that the Dharma Teaching Journey to the East is a pure and supreme Tathagata Dharma of the Buddha.

Volume II: Dharma Expounded During a Trip in Response to the Needs of Disciples

In October 2021, after the government lifted the restrictions on public gatherings and travel due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III, the Buddha Mother, and accompanying disciples set out by car along the coastal Highway 1, traveling from Los Angeles to San Francisco. Along the way and during their stay in San Francisco, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III gave Dharma discourses daily, addressing questions raised by His disciples.

After returning to Los Angeles, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III made a special trip to Las Vegas because Rocket, the guardian dog of the Las Vegas Dharma center, had dashed out the gate and was fatally hit by a car. The Buddha performed a transcendental liberation ceremony for Rocket and also gave daily Dharma teachings to His disciples.

From these two trips, a total of fifteen volumes of Dharma discourses were compiled.

Volume III: Expounding the Absolute Truth through the Heart Sutra

H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III expounds the Dharma using the words and profound meanings of the Heart Sutra, illuminating the relationship between the mind, the Buddha, and sentient beings. This can also be described as an explanation of the impermanence and permanence of all things—both sentient and insentient—in the universe, as well as the principles of formation, existence, decay, and emptiness versus the truth of no formation, existence, decay, or emptiness. What is a Buddha? What is the relationship between sentient beings and the Buddha? What does it mean to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death? H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III clearly explains the true essence of Buddhism and the meaning of liberation.

The Dharma teachings of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III are profoundly insightful, precise, and easy to understand. One can only say that, in the thousands of years of Buddhist history, this is the first time such a supreme, precious Buddhist text and highest-level classic has appeared.

Volume IV: Fundamental Dharma Expounded in the East

Fundamental Dharma Expounded in the East is the first publicly released series of Dharma discourses given by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III to all disciples in 1995. It is a compilation of selected teachings and instructions delivered between 1992 and 1994, during a time when people were not yet aware of His true identity as a Buddha and only knew Him as Master Yi Yungao.

Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III titled this set of teachings “Foundational Dharma Teachings” to emphasize that the principles explained within are essential for every Buddhist practitioner—they are truths that must be clearly understood and applied in actual cultivation on the path of learning Buddhism and practicing the Dharma.

Through direct discourses, answers to disciples’ questions, empowerment during Dharma practices, and reports of disciples’ personal experiences, Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III helps people deeply comprehend the Dharma, gain thorough insight, and apply it concretely in their lives. At the same time, by respectfully listening to these Dharma discourses, we can truly come to recognize that the “supreme greatness” of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha is fully deserved and genuinely manifested.

Volume V: Dharma Expounded During a Trip to Taiwan

Dharma Expounded During a Trip to Taiwan is a compilation of selected Dharma discourses given by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III between 1995 and 1996. The complete set consists of 18 volumes, organized into the following sections:

  1. Volume 1: The Supreme and Incomparable Dharma
    This volume presents a profound and rare teaching of the highest order.
  2. Volumes 2 to 6: The True and Unimaginable Deeds of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III
    These five volumes document the holy manifestations and teachings of Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III during His visits to the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan from April to May 1995.
  3. Volume 7:
    This volume contains the teachings given by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III in early July 1995 when He received a group of Taiwanese Buddhist disciples.
  4. Volumes 8 to 10:
    These volumes recount the events surrounding the disciple Peng Chubin, who in a previous life violated the vows he had solemnly made before Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, resulting in karmic retribution that destined him to die a violent death in each lifetime. In this life, upon encountering Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III, the Buddha not only foretold Peng Chubin’s impending tragic situation in advance, but also performed a great Dharma to empower and save him, ultimately freeing him from his karmic death sentence. These volumes also include teachings from September 1995 and reports from disciples Peng Chubin and Yu Lihua.
  5. Volumes 11 to 14:
    These volumes contain Dharma discourses given by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III in Guangdong and Hainan in January 1996.
  6. Volume 15:
    This volume records two disciples reporting their Dharma practice progress to Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III.
  7. Volume 16:
    This volume includes teachings given by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III during the summer of 1996 at His residence on Yinsi Street in Chengdu.
  8. Volumes 17 to 18:
    These final two volumes feature discourses given by Namo Dorje Chang Buddha III during His travels to Wulingyuan in Zhangjiajie, Hunan, in the summer of 1996.

Volume VI: Dharma Expounded During a Trip to the United States

At the end of September 1998, due to a significant karmic cause related to the Dharma, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III came to the United States alone in a simple and unassuming manner. During His 40-day stay on the West Coast of the U.S., in addition to visiting many cities in Southern California, He also led His disciples along the coastal Highway 1 northward to San Francisco and visited the world-famous casino city, Las Vegas.

To ensure His disciples received the greatest benefit, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III upheld the consistent practice of Buddhas throughout history—whenever He arrived at a place, He would do His best to make time to expound the Dharma for the public, offering teachings anytime and anywhere. He diligently nurtured His disciples’ correct understanding and views. The Dharma Expounded During a Trip to the United States is a compilation of the Dharma discourses delivered by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III during this visit. From the titles of these discourses, one can see that He gave teachings in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, at the then headquarters of the “Yi Yungao Master International Cultural Foundation,” and other locations. Out of great compassion, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III began by addressing even the most basic questions posed by the disciples at the time. Step by step, He guided their growth, encouraging them not only to cultivate themselves in the Buddha-Dharma, but also to give rise to bodhicitta and compassion, to widely propagate the radiant and magnificent Dharma, and to help more kind-hearted beings learn the conduct of the Buddhas and walk the path of liberation.

In October 1998, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III led fourteen disciples from Los Angeles on a road trip along Highway 1 to San Francisco. The evil demons, knowing that this journey marked an important karmic event for the entire Dharma realm—whereby the true Buddha-Dharma would begin to flourish in America and the Western world, leading countless sentient beings of the Saha world to attain accomplishment and liberation—launched an assault. The Demon King Mara specifically sent many demon generals with their minions, attempting to destroy this great Dharma propagation event by taking the lives of the Buddha’s disciples.

As a result, various demons and evil spirits continuously created disturbances along the route, attacking and sabotaging H.H.Dorje Chang Buddha III and His entourage. What was originally planned as a one-day trip took five days to complete. Yet, the demons could not ultimately prevent the Buddha’s mission of spreading the Dharma and saving sentient beings. H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III subdued each demon one by one. Under His guidance, all the disciples safely arrived in San Francisco, symbolizing that the authentic Buddha-Dharma of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III would indeed blossom and bear fruit in the United States and throughout the Western world, bringing auspiciousness and liberation to the sentient beings of the Saha world.

蘇東坡與佛印禪師『一屁過江來』帶給我們的啟示

禪的境界是超諸文字語言的,知識言說上的「八風吹不動」,如果沒有實際的證悟,是經不起考驗的。蘇東坡雖然才華超群,但是對於「禪」終因未能證悟而知見偏差,最後仍然輸給佛印禪師。反觀我們自身,一天中起了多少的妄念?產生了多少執著和煩惱?大千世界,色彩繽紛,光怪陸離,金錢、名利和美色等令人心動神馳。在繁忙浮躁和充滿誘惑的塵世紛擾下,如果我們超然物外,真正做到「不以物喜,不以己悲」「心不隨境轉」「息滅貪瞋癡,勤修戒定慧」,依照南無第三世多杰羌佛的教導修行,證悟本性易如反掌。

分享佛門的著名的典故:蘇東坡與佛印禪師『一屁過江來』。

有一次,蘇東坡被派遣到江北瓜州任職,和金山寺只隔著一條江。有一天,蘇東坡修持欣然有得,做了一首偈子,來表達他的境界,並且很得意地派書僮過江把偈子送給禪師,並囑咐書僮看看禪師是否有什麼讚語?

偈子上說:「稽首天中天,毫光照大千;八風吹不動,端坐紫金蓮。」意思是說:我頂禮偉大的佛陀,蒙受到佛光的普照,我的心已經不再受到外在世界利、衰、毀、譽、稱、譏、苦、樂八風所牽動了,好比佛陀端坐蓮花座上一樣。

禪師看了之後,一語不發,拿起筆來,只批了兩個字,就叫書僮帶回去。

蘇東坡以為禪師一定會讚歎自己境界很高,看到書僮拿回禪師的回語,急忙打開一看,只見上面寫著「放屁」兩字,無名火不禁升起。

豈有此理!禪師不但不稱讚我,反而罵我「放屁」。

於是乘船過江找禪師理論。船快到金山寺時,佛印禪師早已站在江邊等待蘇東坡,蘇東坡一見禪師就氣憤填膺的說:
『禪師!我們是至交道友,你怎麼可以開口就罵人呢?』
禪師若無其事說:『罵你什麼呀!』
『我那首偈上面的「放屁」兩字呀!』
禪師聽了呵呵大笑說:

『哦!你不是八風吹不動了嗎?怎麼讓我一屁就打過江來了?』

一、二十世纪九十年代,中国歌坛具有实力的明星李娜出家的缘起

上世纪九十年代,在中国歌坛李娜可谓是个家喻户晓的歌星。她所演唱的《青藏高原》、《嫂子颂》、《好人一生平安》、《女人是老虎》、《走进西藏》等歌曲曾倾倒过无数的听众。在其出道十年间,共为160余部影视剧配唱200多首歌,那时中国影视剧几乎一半叫响的歌曲都是由李娜唱出来的。

然而,1997年的春天,就在李娜入行十年,演艺事业正处于巅峰状态之时,她却做出了一个非常人所能 理解的决定,先是在天门山选址造屋,而后又奔赴五台山普寿寺出家为尼,法 名 释昌圣。

在早期世法生活中,她才艺出众,超越常人。

1976年入河南省戏曲学校攻读表演。

1981年毕业留校实验团演出多部传统豫剧。

1982年以《百岁挂帅》中佘太君一角获“河南省第一届青年演员调演一等奖”。

1984年入河南省豫剧院一团 1986年转入河南省歌舞团。

1988年获全国“如意杯”歌手大赛通俗组第一名。

1990年获全国“第二届全国影视十佳歌手”大奖。

1992年获全国“第三届全国影视十佳歌手”大奖。

依于多生累劫因果、因缘的关系,她知道真正的自己是谁,她真正该做的事情已经成熟了。

李娜出家几年后,在 美 国 洛 杉 矶 的一座寺院中,姜昆邂逅了一身僧装的她,姜昆问道:“当初你为什么要出家?” 李娜淡淡地回答:“我没有出家,是回家了! 我把尘世中的烦恼和过去名利场的经历、成绩、荣誉、教训全都抛诸脑后,寻找原本蕴藏在我们每个人心灵之内的那么一种清静的觉醒,那么一种安宁的本性的冲动,然后潜下心来,慢慢领会自然与人类生来即已具有的和谐与真谛。”

正如她在二零零一年四月初八 说 法《顿 悟 与 解 脱 大 手  印 精 髓》所言:她有三个名字,一个是世俗的名字,一个是出家后比丘尼的法号,再一个就是我现在的称呼(是指:伏藏那玛大师),这个就是我不变的名字。由此我辈方知伏藏那玛大师的真源,祂是真正圣者再来,曾得到显密总持 大 法 王 尊胜益西诺布亲自认定。

二、从当初的歌星、昌圣法师,到今天的 伏 藏 那 玛 大  师 说法顽石点头

伏 藏 那 玛 大 师 开 示

我要提醒大家注意,真修实证才是自己的东西,明心见性要自己见才是真见,且不可以文字的理解做为见,只能以古德之法义做为助见的资粮。现在我来为你们说一首偈,以资大家真修取道,偈曰:

「历代祖师说玄诃,明心见性口诀多,

后尘学子数他宝,临终还唱轮回歌,

不信但看此中人,我执满身人我行,

开口空洞妙有义,智慧神通不显灵。」

想想这首偈语吧!你是在数他人的宝呢?还是真的见到自性了?你是用法义的语言来推想写成的所谓见性偈呢?还是真的见到了法身,明见了宇宙万物的真源呢?如果没有见到本性,是脱离不了轮回的。

如果你三业中,还存有「他不对,我对;他不了解我,我才明白我。」乃至更下层之人,还要争一个「我正确」,我执满身啊!如果你没有大悲菩提心,处处「我说了算,众生算什么」,你见什么性呀?甚至拿恶习去面对弟子,还大言不惭的说:「我是为你们成材,为你们好。」这样不知羞的话,他竟然讲得出口,此类邪见之人,为什么不用镜子照照自己的脸呢?自己恶习满身,不知拿什么来为他人好,为了冒充自己是明心见性的人,八方摘拿祖师们的玄义,讲自我的所谓相对论,说世间法是平等的,高与低也是平等的,殊不知你已错解法性的真谛!

正如我有一个弟子对我说:「师父!我见到了本性,里面什么也没有,就是一个空。一切都平等,地狱天堂,黑暗光明,日月方向,晚上和白天,全部一个样,所以佛说:无男女相。」

我说:「你没有明心,又怎见性呢?」

他说:「弟子见了就见了,不然我怎么会讲这些道理呢?」

我说:「不错你确实见了,见到了书上写的。」

他说:「师父呀!你为什么不信我呢?你再考考我看。」

我当下叫人拿来哈达,把他的双目盖上,就地让他转了六圈,一圈不多,一圈也不少,然后再让他步向法台,可他却错了方向,一头碰上了墙壁。

我说:「你为什么不走佛法的方向,偏要去碰壁呢?」

他说:「我眼睛看不见。」

我说:「肉眼怎能见得到自性呢?你不该偷学圣者们的相对法,变成自己的错谬论。圣者是于真如自性中,施万法于妙有,而你是落入高调阔唱凡夫的空洞断灭见。没有自性可见,没有生死可了,所以你才在轮回中六圈打转,还是找不到法台的方向,终归是会碰壁的。任你空洞理论一大堆没有用,无常照常会来请你的。如果你硬要说见了性,及我见性了,智就开了,那么我请问你,智慧体现的力量在哪里?在五明的哪一个地方表现了呢?得到的高度又如何?是有惊世之才吗?有的人乃至把妙有挂在口上,行在笔尖,既然如此,你的广大神通在哪里展现过呢?没有,一点儿也没有,还是听我一言,好好的闻法,认真修持吧!」

伏 藏 那 玛 大 师,道量高深难测,但她确谦虚不傲,惭愧行持,平易近人,持戒严谨,清心寡欲,道德超然。据了解,台 湾 有两个佛教 机 构 日前拟发动万人到机场恭迎伏藏那玛大师 法 音 带 的行动,大师知情后,立刻去电制止,祂说:“学佛修行讲究的是脚踏实地,无法开悟者再怎么迎接 法 音,也是不能开悟,闻   法即能开悟者即使不去迎接 法 音 亦能开悟。不要搞这些接机的名堂。如果我要名利,我就不会出家了,因为我的名利早就够大了!我是个惭愧的修行人,传达佛陀正确的教法,行人若能 闻法而得解脱成就,就是对法最大的恭敬,不要在世俗名利中打转,那祇会走向堕落之途。”祂彻底丢掉名利出家清修的道德风范是修行人学习的楷模。

為什麼善惡不能互抵?”佛法給你答案

筆者看了一段視頻,復旦大學的一位元姓女教授在上哲學課時,提出一個思考:善惡能否相互抵消?如若不能抵過,何來“浪子回頭金不換”“亡羊補牢,為時未晚”,以及“放下屠刀,立地成佛”之說。因此,她反問:“如果行了惡事,那些曾經造成的傷害就能撫平抵消嗎?”

人們總以為做了壞事再做好事就能將功補過,或者將功折罪。其實,善惡根本不能相抵,也互相消融不了。說能相抵,就違背了因果律,因為因果是如影隨形,絲毫不爽。“善有善報,惡有惡報。不是不報,時辰未到。”種善因,就會結善果;種惡因,就會得惡果。只是成熟和顯報前後不一而已。大至宇宙,小至一微塵、意識,萬事萬物都在因果網路裡。

南無本初報身佛在什麼叫修行說法:“因果是滅除不了的,說滅除是斷見。”這清楚告訴我們善惡無法互相抵消,不能用善果就把惡果給消滅了,因果是了了分明的。

再反過來說,如果善惡之間能抵消,有錢人大可有恃無恐,做盡傷天害理之事,然後花錢做些善事以求抵消。可惜儘管你富可敵國,殺人放火錯因果,也要受牢獄之災。所以說,因果面前,一律平等,善惡不能相抵。

試舉一例:有個年輕人偷了鄉鄰一筆錢,而這筆錢是這家人借來的救命錢,為家裡的“頂樑柱”治病而籌措。年輕人用這筆錢去城裡做起了生意,幾年過去了,時來運轉成了大老闆。而這家的病人因錢被盜再無力承擔昂貴的醫藥費而鬱鬱而終。一家人悲痛欲絕,人財兩空,還負債累累,導致家裡小孩輟學打工。

這個偷錢發家的老闆衣錦還鄉時,看到那戶人家的悲涼下場,心中頓時悔恨萬分,內疚不已。他決心慷慨解囊幫助這戶人家,用來彌補的錢不知道超過了原來偷盜的多少倍。但再多的錢也換不回逝去的生命,也消不掉這家人失去親人的痛,更買不回那戶人家小孩本應坐在教室裡學習的大好時光。雖然這個老闆暫時沒有得到果報,還是家產萬貫,但因緣成熟,他必定要償還偷錢致人丟掉性命等果報的。

儘管功過自分明,善惡不相抵,但兩者又能相互影響。佛陀告訴我們,定業難消,雖難消但可以轉換。通過修行轉換因果,惡人也可悔過走行善之路,這就是“浪子回頭金不換”。做了壞事,懺悔、止惡、行善、修行等,那就是“及時止損”,防止繼續造惡業。

行善是滋潤善果的種子長大,作惡是助長惡果種子長大。在因果軌道中,我們可以多行善業,增益善緣;同時離惡因,避惡果,這就會讓善果先成熟,猶如築一道擋土牆,擋住惡果,推遲惡果成熟,等到解脫成就了再來輕鬆償還惡報。
