金巴仁波切九歲時開示“無常 

金巴法王開示:『無常』。無常是什麼呢?無常就是有情決定死、無情決定滅。有情是什麼?有情就是有生命也有感情的,比如說人類、動物類、細菌類,就包括六道輪迴裡面的眾生,都是有生命有感情。那有生命有感情的眾生到最後會怎麼樣呢?一個字:死掉!只有死掉!無情決定滅。無情分兩種:一種是有生命但是沒有感情。

有兩位年輕人,都是名符其實的大聖德,他(她)們不願留名,因此也就不公開他(她)們的名字。其中一位女年輕人,在她才十一歲時,竟然就能做韻雕,她本來從來沒有做過藝術,根本沒有涉略,但敢於公開接受記者採訪,敢於宣稱她要在六個月成為有名的國際藝術家。由於她一公開宣佈,所以她從宣佈之日起,就開始向大法王師父學工巧明的法,她開了大智慧,僅用了五個月,雕塑出了很多精美作品,我們大家還親自看到她雕刻上色,就半年都不到,正如她宣佈的,只用了五個月之內,成為全世界年齡最小的國際級藝術家。紐約藝術學院院長和專家,對她的作品做了鑑定,發了證書給她,她終於成了全世界年齡最小的國際級藝術家,當時還出了一本書。你們大家想一想,這是什麼概念,是凡夫俗子能做得到的事嗎?根本不可能!說出來大家認為是天方夜譚,但畢竟是事實!

Here is a story in the Avadanasataka Sutra: At the Buddha’s time, in Sravasti, an elderly Brahman’s wife gave birth to a baby boy. Whenever the child was hungry for milk and as soon as the breast milk entered his mouth, the milk would turn bad. It was the same situation whenever he took in other food. Therefore, this had been how he grew up in a semi-starvation state. After he grew up, he beseeched the Buddha for renunciation from household life. Out of compassion, the Buddha approved it.

After the renunciation, other Bhikkhus always returned with a bowl full of food after they went out to ask for offerings. Yet, he was the only one who returned with an empty bowl. One day, it occurred to him that he had to do something for the Three Jewels. Through the physical work, he wished to eradicate his negative karma. He resolved to clean up the monastery and miraculously, the next day, he returned with delicious food. Therefore, he became even more determined to serve the Three Jewels. This way, he got to have food every day.

One day he slept in and missed the clean-up. Sariputra cleaned up the monastery as he passed by. He was very upset about this and told Sariputra, “I only get to eat after I clean up the place. Now, you have done it. I will definitely have nothing to eat today.” After Sariputra heard about that, he said, “It is no problem. I will go to the city and get food for you.” After he went to a layperson’s house, the couple happened to be in a quarrel. He returned with an empty bowl. The next day, Sariputra told him that an Elder had made a meal offer to the Buddha and the Sangha. The Buddha would take them along. After they arrived at the Elder’s home, everyone’s bowl was full of food, except his. They had missed filling up his bowl. He went to inform the owner about his empty bowl, yet no matter how he yelled out to the owner, somehow, he never could hear him.

After Ananda knew about this, he felt sympathy for him. He volunteered to get food for him the next day. Ananda was known as the first in memory, yet, this time, he totally forgot about his promise. On the fourth day, he finally got a bowl of food. However, on his way back, a dog ran to him and spilled the food. Venerable Maudgalyayana also had learned about this. The following day he went out and got the food for him. On his way back, he took a break under the tree. All the birds in that tree flew down and ate up the food in the bowl. Venerable Maudgalyayana singed, “In spite of being the first in supernatural powers, I also cannot do much due to his heavy negative karma.”

Sariputra could not bear to see this. He made up his mind to find food for him. The next day, he went out and got a bowl of food. When he got to the entrance, the door which used to be open suddenly shut closed with a bang. The bowl of food was hit by the door and spread all over the floor.

Until the seventh day, the Bhikkhu had not taken a bit of food still. He cried out of sorrow and shame. He ended up eating the sand and died. Everyone was amazed by what had happened. They went to the Buddha and inquired about the karmic condition of the Bhikkhu. The Buddha told everyone, “At the time of Indradhvaja Buddha (Sovereign Sign Buddha), there was an Elder who loved to do good deeds and give donations. He often offered vegetarian meals to the Buddha and the sangha. He also had a son who followed after his conducts. The family property was managed by the father at that time; therefore, the son was not against the donations.

After the Elder passed away, the son inherited the property. He became greedy and was unwilling to give. Other than being unwilling to give to the sangha, he also did not allow his mother to make offerings. However, his mother was frugal and tried to save to give to the sangha. One day, the mother told him, “I have nothing left to eat. Can you spare me any food?” He talked back at his mother, “I gave you food, but you gave it away to the sangha. Why don’t you just go and eat the sand?” Later, his mother died of starvation. Due to the negative karma of reluctance in making offerings and respecting parents, he degenerated into the hell realm after his death. After countless of eons he had finally made his way back to the human realm. In the same way, he still had to go through the negative karmic retribution of hunger and starvation. Because he did not oppose his father making offerings to the Buddha in the past, he then had the karmic condition to renounce in this life time. Nevertheless, because of the heavy negative karma of disrespect to his mother, in this life, he experienced extreme hunger and eventually died of eating sand.

This is the karmic retribution of greed, disrespect to parents, and negative speech. In spite of the fact that he had renounced himself from the household life, he still could not escape from retribution. From this, we learn that negative karma can be very horrifying.

In 2009, I viewed a video of the Dharma Assembly of Empowerment by Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva’s Great Compassion for the first time. I was very excited at that time and wished that one day I would be able to attend such a dharma assembly too. Now I finally had that chance and good fortune to attend the Dharma Assembly of Empowerment by Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva’s Mind of Great Compassion. I must express my gratitude to H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva. I also thank the Abbess of Hua Zang Si, Dharma Master Ruo Hui.

A short while after the dharma assembly had started, I first felt that a breeze of cool wind blew by my hands. It felt very refreshing and cool. After that, my entire body became warmer and I started to sweat. I was sweating heavily all over. After the sweating I felt extremely refreshed and energized. It was very comfortable. Then I saw (My eyes remained closed throughout the dharma assembly.) pieces of white clouds floating in the blue sky. The scene was very beautiful. After a while, water started to drip from the white clouds, which was different from the feeling of raining. I thought, “That must be nectar and has blessing!” So I opened my mouth to drink it. Actually, I walked around to receive and drink it. The situation lasted until the end of the dharma assembly. My stomach felt full during the entire period.

I am grateful to the empowerment from H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III and Kuan Shi Yin Bodhisattva! This entire process was truly inconceivable.

5.藤蘿現無常

        二00四年十二月二十五日,佛光沐浴舊金山華藏寺的佛法聖蹟發生後,許多人歡喜讚嘆滿懷崇敬。但同時,記者也聽到另一種聲音,有人說這是一種幻術,或者是一種巧合。為此,記者專程採訪了一位證德量境的高僧。

        高僧回答記者:「眾生啊,實在可憐!也正因為如此,有人才落入可憐到家的愚笨癡傻,輪回的種子才名為眾生。一次迎請佛光展現可以說是巧合,在香港、在臺灣、在中國大陸、在泰國、在美國,大法王(即南無第三世多杰羌佛。下同)說請佛光出來,佛光必定每次出現,次次都是巧合嗎?好,就都算是巧合吧,八十多歲的洛桑珍珠大格西,在他翻譯的宗喀巴大師《菩提道次第略論》序言中說,大法王召請護法菩薩現身,他親自見到護法菩薩,還當面問了護法菩薩的話。當時大法王說天空有佛光展現,格西看了佛光半小時之久。學佛七十多年的老格西老修行,他會有騙子行為對眾生說妄語嗎?「勝義浴佛法會」前,大法王預言法會一開始會有狂風雷鳴,果然法會一起法,萬里晴空突來狂風大作驚雷吒響,這也是「巧合」?法會中金剛輪在水中自己行走浮沉,照相機拍下了金剛輪上站著護法,還不斷神變,這又是怎樣「巧合」的?四千二百多磅重的浴佛池水,十幾個人抬幾次都紋絲不動,兩個證量大德卻抬起來了,還有位聖德一個人就抬起來,請問這世界上哪個凡夫能「巧合」出這種威力?丟棄在烈日下曝曬了幾個月,已經曬得乾枯脆裂,一碰就斷的枯梅枝,卻在大法王宣講佛法時頓然盛開嬌艷的紅梅,這又是怎麼「巧合」出來的聖蹟?九六年曾有位薛大居士,陪父母妻子到大師壇場皈依,一隻烏龜忽然出現在四人中間一同皈依,跟居士一家排成一隊,又磕頭又頂禮,誰能「巧合」出這樣的奇蹟來?在泰國佛教城講法,神龍化作龍魚將身體直立水中禮拜大法王,幾十個人親眼現場得見,你見過那條魚可以用尾巴立起身子,直端端站在水面的?魚類哪有這樣的功能?各種動物頂禮、獻供,多不勝數,連九尾狐狸都皈依,牠們都是「巧合」出現的嗎?牠們怎麼就不巧合在你我面前,偏偏都要巧合到大法王大師那裡去?大法王修佛降甘露,弟子自己拿著法缽洗淨,大法王在一丈以外修法,佛陀憑空投降甘露到法缽中,弟子們眼睜睜看著空缽無中生有出現甘露,這非凡間的物品又是怎麼「巧合」得來的?還不要說那些生死自由盤腿坐化的人,他們又是怎樣「巧合」而解脫生死的?美國西雅圖林劉惠秀居士圓寂前幾個月,大法王就公開作了預言何時圓寂。

        她圓寂前,丈夫林永茂急電千里之外的大法王,說剛才五點鐘劉惠秀已經圓寂,大法王斷然告之林說的話不對,佛菩薩接她的時辰還沒到,她現在還沒有圓寂。第二天早晨七點過大法王又讓隆慧法師率僧眾從洛杉磯搭機前往送行,說:「她現在還沒圓寂,等你們到的時候就已經圓寂了。」果然,八點過劉惠秀又睜開眼睛,直到大法王預言的時辰才往升佛國。中國的趙賢云居士,大法王事先通知了她圓寂時間,她返回老家與家人歡喜告別,大法王說的時辰一到,她果真突然盤坐結大法王傳的往升手印圓寂,滿面紅光,她女兒和鄰居親眼看見觀世音菩薩出現虛空接走她。別人的生死大事啊,作出如此精準的預言斷定,也都是碰上了﹁巧合﹂嗎?他怎麼就那麼「巧合」地跟佛菩薩相通達,知道佛菩薩來接引的時間呢?美國的侯欲善教授,修大法王傳的往升大法,提前到極樂世界周遊一趟,阿彌陀佛說一周後去接他,還告訴他最好的佛法在仰諤益西諾布大法王那裡,果然一周後侯教授按時往升,當時家人看見阿彌陀佛出現在虛空。這也是遇上了巧合嗎?余林彩春居士,患病死去,瞳孔放大身體僵硬冷卻,家人乞求大法王拯救,大法王行法,兩小時後余林彩春返回人間,與家人歡聚三個月後修大法王所傳之法往升西方極樂世界。這樣瀟灑的讓弟子生死自由,誰能「巧合」一回來看看?只要一回就行。還有那些大法王座下的高僧大德,想生即生,想走就走,留下大量舍利堅固子或肉身金剛不壞,很多人從報章刊物上都看到過,他們又是從哪裡「巧合」得來的大成就?太多太多了,一件兩件你可以說是巧合,如果成千上萬件這樣的聖蹟發生,還有人堅持說是巧合,我就只有一句話要說了,我是個修行的出家人,不願惡口,不打妄語,但我必須說一句實話:說這種話的人,是愚癡可憐的業障者,他雖然身而為人,具有了人性的善良和基本道德,但可惜,他的思維,的的確確愚癡到了畜牲的思維,實在可憐!」

        高僧說:「我再打個比方,可能不太恰當,但也許能幫助大家更清醒地思考一些問題。很久以前,一個乞丐在河邊洗砂鍋,砂鍋在他手裡就像個布口袋,被他從裡翻到外,從外翻到裡這樣洗來洗去。有一個人看見了,很驚訝,覺得很不可思議,看了老半天,怎麼想都想不通是怎麼一回事,帶著滿腦子的官司走掉了。又一個人看見了,很好奇,覺得這翻砂鍋的本事很好,若學到手,日後可在人前炫耀或以此賺錢,於是對乞丐說:『師傅,您收我做徒弟吧,您這個翻砂鍋的本事太了不起了!』乞丐聽了完全不予理會,這人折騰半天沒有結果,也離開了。一個年輕人來了,在一旁默默觀看良久,等乞丐走回岸上,他撲通跪倒在地,說:『師傅,請您收我做徒弟!』乞丐問:『怎麼?你也想學翻砂鍋嗎?』年輕人說:『師傅,我沒有看見翻砂鍋。』乞丐說:『我是個乞丐,除了翻砂鍋就是要飯,別的都不會,你還能跟我學什麼呢?』年輕人堅決地說:『我要跟您學如何成仙。』年輕人學道之心甚誠,經過許多考驗終於從師傅那裡得到真傳,成道登仙。這年輕人就是後來的八仙之一呂洞賓,乞丐便是鐵拐李所化。當年的呂洞賓能透過現象看到本質,我們呢?」

        記者請問高僧對「幻術」的說法有何見解,高僧說:「釋迦佛陀幾千年前就開示眾生:一切有為皆是虛幻,眾生如幻而在,萬法無常緣起性空。只有法性真如不生不滅。無幻之有,焉有法用,享受一切神通變化境界。而神通,除卻漏盡通,它者亦復為幻。佛法中轉幻成真稱妙有,眾生認妄為真,執著沉迷,輪回痛苦而不自知,根本不懂「幻」「真」之意。今大法王發大慈悲而示大神通教化有緣眾生,因此才會出現佛光沐浴華藏寺這樣偉大的佛法聖境,因此才出現了「藤蘿法帳」在大法王撫掌之下藤蘿無常乾枯這樣驚人的聖蹟。我要請問,這世上還有誰能展現如此偉大的佛法神通之幻?」又世界佛教僧伽會主席悟明長老、虛雲老和尚的衣缽傳人意昭大和尚、洛桑珍珠格西等高僧跪拜大法王請甘露加持時,大法王指明他們到聚多黃蜂窩巢門口,大法王斷言護法保護,黃蜂不會傷害他們,百萬黃蜂潮動在它們面前飛來穿去,十幾人全部平安,那一個人敢拿生命開玩笑,世界上從未有此巧合與幻術,祇有偉大的佛法

        高僧所言「藤蘿法帳」之聖蹟,發生在西元二零零五年元月。在華藏寺開寺之後,仁波且和法師們施展藤蘿雕工巧明,造了一架法帳,前去請大法王開光。庫嚅仁波且說:「這一架蓮師法帳,是除眾生黑業的金剛不壞之寶。」大法王一笑言道:「一切有為法,皆是幻有,有情決定死,無情決定滅,全屬無常性。」有位法師說:「現在看來很殊勝,這法帳一點也沒有無常。」大法王說:「剎那都在生老死無常,你凡眼不得見之。幾百年後,你們再看,這盤藤就會枯竭乾老。其實,時間空間無有過去未來,今天因緣正好成熟,你們現在就看吧。」大法王此時將手掌壓向法帳頂部盤藤中央,並半旋動地擂了一下,就聽到咯咯嘎嘎的響聲,幾分鐘時間,這藤蘿看著看著變色萎縮乾枯,一會兒工夫,竟然成了千年文物古董,徹底乾老萎縮壞死。等到大法王把手拿起時,大家看到,除了手掌將藤蘿壓平出現的掌印,不但沒有萎縮,而且色澤無變,無有皺紋無有乾老現象,未見無常。眾人大驚失色!在場的美國高級藝術館展覽部長忙請問大法王:「我們藝術館的藤蘿畫框,能不能也請大法王加持無常成文物效果呢?」大法王說:「你碰上今天這個緣起了,滿你們的願吧!」大法王又開示道:「這些並非實有,乃為幻相。故佛說法四十九載,皆為顯幻成真,實無法可說。若能求得《解脫大手印》,了證法性真如,正如以此手印之譬喻,則無無常,不生不滅。佛說諸法,聖者悟則為真,凡夫迷即是妄。但誰人能轉妄成真?何來證量之法?故唯我佛正法轉幻成真,子等應聞思深解大師開示之《明心見性之精髓》,得此灌頂才是金剛不壞之寶。今見法帳之無常現象,純屬藉以譬喻之用,幻化遊戲而已,勿作真諦,乃藝術一笑罷了。」大法王的開示,含義微妙,令人深思。正如高僧所講到的,雖然顯境是幻,但有誰能顯此無常幻呢?如不能顯幻,又不能轉幻成真,他的證量從何體現呢?他哪裡又談得上有佛法呢?如果你確實認為你不愚癡而很聰明,你就去找一個人來為你憑空請佛降下非人間物品的甘露,你就該明白是愚癡可憐還是智慧了。

        現在這一聖蹟妙寶藤蘿法帳,已由僧眾們迎請到舊金山,供奉在華藏寺中。

The Yun sculpture illustrates the magnificence of precious Mt. Sumeru. It contains holy sariras (sacred relics) of Sakyamuni Buddha for worshipping. The Mandala is a very unique treasure in the world because it is a treasure containing another treasure.

人與人之間的誤解,是如何產生的?

某選秀節目中,一位女士在作畫,她對著一個年長的評委一通亂畫,台下的評委們看得不以為然並且都失去了耐心,於是集體滅燈。這位女士忍著委屈繼續畫,最後將圖畫倒轉,撒上白色的粉,呈現出另一個評委的像。此時大家都驚呆了,紛紛向她道歉。這就是偏知偏見導致了誤解,值得我們深思。

其實在我身上也發生過類似事情。有一次,我到某市的寺院遊覽,得知這裡有一個民間放生小組,經常號召大家放生。我覺得這是利益眾生的好事啊,也準備隨喜放生款一同放生。正好有一位出家師在院子裡,我趕忙請教如何交錢放生?誰知這位出家師父說,放什麼生,要放自己放去,寺院不給你放……態度非常強硬,我一聽就不高興了,心想這哪裡是出家人,缺乏慈悲心,放生是利益眾生的事情,他還如此惡聲惡氣!我帶著憤憤不平離去。突然有一天,媒體曝光了這個寺廟是被私人承包的,信眾交的放生款絕大部分被個人截留未用於放生。想來我沒深入瞭解,誤會了那位出家師讓我自行放生的言語,還一直耿耿於懷,實在慚愧。

另外,到菜市場買物命放生,遇到一些掉到盆外的小蝦、螺螄等,我但凡看到基本上都撿起來一起放掉。這時候攤販老闆經常說不要撿了,我再送給你一些。曾有位女士嘲笑我,覺得我貪小便宜。我毫無愧色地說:“這些都是生命,我同樣要救它們!”

若你是評委,看到選手不按常理出牌,一通亂畫,你會給機會嗎?若你遇到反對你放生的出家師,你又如何評價?遇到在菜市場撿小魚小蝦的人,你是否會輕視?

其實,很多時候,我們不瞭解實際情況或資訊不對等時,常常會從自我已有經驗出發,判斷對錯,評價好壞,而忽略了事情背後的真相與本質。

君不見盲人摸象的局限,青蛙坐井觀天的荒誕?這些都告訴我們看問題不能全憑自己的主觀判斷,應瞭解事物的全貌,客觀分析,洞察事情的本質。

有時候我們認識出現偏差,誤解甚至惡意揣測了別人,從某種意義上來說,是自我設置了障礙,這種障礙就叫“所知障”。這也意味著,我們用已經知道的知識、經驗去對抗不知道的知識和經驗。

哪些人容易犯所知障呢?比如叛逆的孩子,認為父母不理解自己,而專制的家長呢覺得孩子缺乏社會經驗,聽從父母安排才是正道。又有的企業家認為藝術家整天高談闊論,不事生產,有的藝術家呢認為某些企業家就是暴發戶,渾身充滿了銅臭味。再比如佛教裡很多人士認為學淨土只要念“阿彌陀佛”就萬事大吉,禪宗只要參到“言語道斷,心性寂滅”就成就無礙,殊不知,在修法之外,還有修行。脫離了修行,任你唸佛號念到嘴破都沒用;同理,脫離了修行,參到天荒地老也悟不了道!修行和修法是雙運而行,缺一不可。

而犯了所知障的人,就固執地抱著自己的見解,失去了進步的空間。

畢竟我們學識有限,不能用淺顯的知識來揣度無奇不有的大千世界。而認知水準越低的人,越容易固執、迂腐,接納度低,容易抗拒新奇事物。認知水準越高的人呢,就越開明,不斷包容和接納新知識,也就更容易成長,自然擁有更為寬闊的人生。

因此,放下所知障,用一顆包容、開放的心去尋求真理吧,這樣才不會錯過真正幸福的機會!

你還在在乎面子嗎?任正非說“面子是給狗吃的”

你還在在乎面子嗎?任正非說“面子是給狗吃的”

我們的內心投射著自己的人生,就像稻盛和夫先生說的:“心不喚物,物不至。”

我始終堅信心靈會塑造現實,也會驅動那個現實。無論我們是誰,能夠擁有的都只是當下的一瞬間,但以怎樣的心態活在當下將決定了我們的人生。

(一)一身才骨的郭德綱在現實面前也要放下面子

前幾天在一個微博裡看到了一首詞,閱後頗有感觸:

我本一身傲骨奈何世事無常悲從心中起百般不如人本以為傲從骨中生萬難不屈膝可是傲骨又值幾分錢最可歎放下了尊嚴卻換不回柴米油鹽萬般皆是命半點不由人

看了這首詞感慨良多,我的腦海裡不禁浮現出郭德綱未功成名就前,為了讓德雲社能活下去,不得不參加安徽衛視的真人秀節目《超級大贏家》的事。

初創的德雲社風雨飄搖,“活下去”是郭德綱的唯一選擇。當時郭德綱準備在安徽衛視的《超級大贏家》節目裡當主持人。節目組為了考驗他,讓他在合肥鬧市的一個大商場玻璃櫃裡生活48個小時。因為是鬧市,路上的行人都能看到他,郭德綱費盡力氣在裡面表演才藝。

路人捧場支持嗎?其實更多的是調侃和看熱鬧,當時郭德綱對這些已無暇顧及。在那幾尺見方的玻璃櫥櫃內,他放棄了往日的面子和尊嚴,不斷表演著各種技藝,直到筋疲力盡。

晚上人走光了,郭德綱只能在玻璃櫥櫃中將就一晚。他不時拿出一條毛巾擦汗。這種孤獨和無奈未曾親歷的人是很難體會的。沒有人能隨便成功,欲戴皇冠必承其重。

(二)任正非不要面子,才讓華為有了“裡子”

華為的面子是什麼?2001年28歲的李健從西安電子科大碩士畢業加入華為,一進公司就被派到了奈及利亞。40度的高溫,科研出身的他穿西裝打領帶,幹的卻是“藍領”的活,一個人拎著電腦和投影儀,從早到晚拜訪客戶。

有為見某公司總裁,等了三個多小時未果,最後堵在廁所門口才終於見了一面。就這樣李健在第三年創造了4億美元的業績,銷售額連續幾年全球第一,成了西非地區部的總裁。

在華為許多像李健是受過高等教育的“秀才”,都會被打掉面子,磨成厚臉皮的“土匪”。華為從初創就一直招攬高學歷人才,可他們的文化卻是江湖上的“狼性、匪氣、不要臉”。

初創時期的華為一無所有,每天都像是在過冬,任正非提出了“面子都是給狗吃的,不要臉才能活下去”的口號。在這句話的號召下,一茬一茬的“秀才”被改造得臉皮厚實,神經粗糙,成了大兵,當上了將軍。

任正非說,在華為我最不要臉,所以我進步最快。而老員工對於老闆最深的印象就是——老闆愛吹牛。1992年任正非站在一個紙箱子上,沖著下面的六七十位員工狂喊“華為一定會超過四通”。當時大家第一反應就是老闆腦子進水了,華為那時候年銷售額還不到一個億,而四通當時的年銷售額是20個億,結果三年的時間這句話兌現了。任正非又接著造夢,他提出未來通信行業三分天下,必有華為一席之地。20年後這個春天真的來了。

在這個人情社會裡,有人把面子看得比天還大。其實,只有放下面子活成裡子才能真正地贏得面子。最後,把任正非的兩句話合二為一總結一下,“放下給狗吃的面子,以過冬的心態永遠活在春天裡”。

(三)南無第三世多杰羌佛以無量大悲教化弟子“放下面子”

看了任正非的“放下給狗吃的面子”這句話,想起南無第三世多杰羌佛在法音裡講過的一個真實案例。

當時南無第三世多杰羌佛和一位弟子在吃飯,因為一件事,南無第三世多杰羌佛讓這位弟子向另一位弟子道歉,可是這個弟子說如果道歉了那不是很沒有面子,堅持不去道歉。而這時,任何人都想不到的是,偉大的南無第三世多杰羌佛給自己的弟子跪了下去,並叮囑虛空護法這是在教化弟子,不得因此事而懲罰這個弟子。當時這個弟子都嚇傻了,跪在地上說“不敢啊不敢啊”。南無第三世多杰羌佛就問弟子:“你覺得我現在這樣做會沒有面子嗎?不會的,諸佛菩薩反而都會讚歎我。”

南無第三世多杰羌佛以無量的大悲教化了這位弟子,也教化了我們——面子一文錢也不值,那是我執,說放下當下就放下!因為我執是輪回的因種,會讓人走向墮落,走向痛苦的深淵。

彌勒菩薩偈有云:涕唾在面上,隨他自幹了,我也省力氣,他也無煩惱。這樣波羅蜜,便是妙中寶,若知這消息,何愁道不了。

面子是時候放下了!

        The Dragon Carp Frolic in a Lotus Pond painted by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III is appraised as a world treasure of outstanding quality, a peerless and sublime work of art. It is extremely wonderful, for what looks like detailed fine brushwork in it is actually derived from freehand brushwork. Even the small touches can be freehand brushwork depictions of lively charm. All of the six major parts composing this painting – the carp, the lotus leaves, the lotus root, the floating grass, the quality of the water, and the flowers are the fruits of hard work. The painting accomplishes a spellbound and miraculous state that is inimitable. In fact, both the artistic conception of and the prices for paintings by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III have reached the topmost level in the world.

       

This paining is on a permanent exhibition at the Hall Of Fish Paintings By Famous Artists located at 170 E School St., Covina, CA USA. In 2016, someone offered US$60 million to purchase this painting. However, out of concern that once an art collector owns that painting the public will certainly not have any opportunity to appreciate it, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III rejected the offer and provided the painting for display permanently.
